Green/C is finished.

Here's the work in progress Commissar for Green/Command.

Some more Highlanders in progress. Four riflemen and a flamer.

I amalgamated all the War Orphans into one basic platoon.

And the lascannon that's going into the Command Squad.

The bearded squad leader is awesome - great work!
ReplyDeleteMight want to save those War Orphans until the new codex comes out. Depending on the details, they might fit in better as part of a Penal Battalion.
ReplyDeleteHighlanders are coming along nicely, as is the commisar. Please keep us posted.
I painted one coat of chainmail on four models. Woot!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys!
ReplyDeleteThat bearded head is my favourite from the Flagellant kit, and I use it as much as I can.
I considered the idea of using the War Orphans as Last Chancers (now Penal Legionnaires, I guess), but I didn't want to imply that Praetorians or Mordians were that kind of scum. ;)
The Commissar is my main focus now, so hopefully there'll be somewhat regular updates on him, as he's the bottleneck for finishing Green Platoon. After that, I suspect I'll probably paint the Highlanders.
looking good, I don't suppose that commissar is modelled after anyone in particular, is he?
ReplyDeleteUh, no, not really. Why? Does he remind you of someone?
ReplyDeleteThis commisars looks impressive. I love him!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's great to hear. :)
