The Heavy Bolter support squad is getting closer to done, just needing basing still. And heads. I went by my favourite scale model/railway hobby store, only to find they'd closed down and become a used book store! Arrrgh! Now I have no supply of plasticard and other such things. Not a total loss, though, as it's a great book store and I got an August Derleth anthology, and his stuff is impossible to find. They also had at least three copies of Mein Kampf.
I used the last of my GS to make a couple of sandbags, but I'm not sure how well they turned out...
The piper is also nearly complete. I need to sand his base, and once the new heads arrive, hopefully in a few days, I can finish him off.
And finally a group shot of Red Platoon's leadership all together. I built them a flamer guy, but he's boring and didn't warrant a close-up of his own.

I finally got Imperial Armour 7 and have been working on my 1500 point list. I should be studying, but mostly I drink and lie in bed.
ReplyDeleteI ordered some Pig Iron Heads and some Redemptionists but even after all that and my huge bits collection, if I go with the army list I wrote up which includes a lot of forgeworld bits it is 600 plus dollars.
I gotta study for my CFA pass and get a better job. I gotta stop trying to save the world and start trying to get rich.
Cool stuff, I think the sand bags look good enough, in fact who am I kidding I think they look awesome and if your not sure about those then the stuff you are sure about must (is) amazing. Really good stuff. I particularly like the guy with the bag pipes.
ReplyDeleteAnother Sunday gone, and no Muskie! The Iron Hands are itching for a rematch with the Sons.
ReplyDeleteGamers World~Thanks! As far as the sandbags, I think the reason I'm "not sure" about them is that I can't help but compare them against the work of the guy whose method I used. They're a good first attempt, I think, though.
